YO, ADNYBODY KNOW WHERE THERE IS A FILIPINO GROCERY STORE (OR A STORE THAT SELLS FILIPINO FOOD) IN NWDC OR SILVER SPRING?  NOT A RESTAURANT, BUT AN ACTUAL GROCERY STORE.  THANKS!

One of my closest friends I grew up with in NYC was Flip. I used to love his mother's cooking. 

- Taught to use my spoon like a fork and fork like a knife (LOL!) 

- Eating clear noodles, province style

- Mini-vegetable rolls

- Barquillos rolls. (They used to come in this big square Yellow and Blue tin)

- Fish sauce. 

- Dried fish

- Gotta douse everything in vinegar

- Pork, pork, and more pork. 

- That weird sweet drink with the clear jell-o chunks in the cup.  

 ... you mean tapioca? in them bubble teas?

g'luck wit the search... you guy know my pain now... alot of times though, it's making substitutes work rather than finding exactly what you need.

 look online? my buddy gets care packages with indian food in a box (usually just the sauce packet) and they all have internet addys on them. maybe they got filipino food in boxes too?

Georgia Ave. exit off Super Speedway 495 just past Kensington.... in Wheaton a stone's throw from the metro and Mall there behind the main road of Georgia. Can't remember the street but the place is called FILIPINO HOME BAKING AND GROCERY STORE.... REAL GOOD PLACE IF IT'S STILL OWNED BY THE SAME PEOPLE THAT TOOK OVER IN 99....
