Sooo, there's a slight chance I MAY have gone down again. Was all excited to hit the backroads again after a ~550 mile trip to WV yesterday with Witold, Robby23rd and a few others. Ride had barely started when coming around this one turn at around 65-70mph I crept up too fast on the rider in front of me and ran wide when he slowed down, hitting a patch of fine gravel. The front slipped a bit at first but I caught it, or so I thought. As soon as I caught it, I lean a little more since I was about to hit the guardrail and BOOM, another one is down for the count. Bounced off the first guardrail and stopped after sliding into the incoming traffic lane and bouncing off the other guardrail. All this happened on a bridge with a low side wall which would have made for an even better story.
Bike needs a new rim, chain adjustment assy., tail section, clutch bracket and frame slider. I need a new calf muscle. Should have her up and running in a couple weeks. Unfortunately, this wasn't the only crash of the ride but I'll let the other person post up when they're ready.
