When and where? I'm in Frederick, so if you wanted to do something that would benefit the both of us, that would be cool.

I live in Germantown and know 3 or four other folks who Im sure would go if the weather is nice, perhaps Weds or Thurs.... we rode out from Germantown two weeks ago and hit some cool roads on the Frederick/MoCo boarder, taking all the back roads of course....

If that sounds good I would definitly be in.... Let me know and I will make some calls on my end...

Ok folks... I have two of my buddies and myself that are going to go for a ride tomorrow evening starting out at the Safeway parking lot in Germantown Md at the intersection of 118 and Middlebrook.  Start time should be around 6-6:15 or so and were going to head north west towards frederick.  Route will take us north on clopper to bucklodge, then north on 28 and into SW Fredrick (we found some good mild twisties).  The ride should run about 1.5-2 hours.  Pace will be mild since I am a noob, however one of my buddies is much more experienced than I am and will lead the way at his pace.  This will be a nice chill ride with friendly folks having a good time.  Everyone can ride at their own speed as we traditionally wait at each stop sign for the crew.

Right now we have the following bikes rolling...

    2004 600RR, 2007 1000RR, 2004 Gixxer 600

    Any takers...?

Man, today would be good, but the bike is still in track form. Ride safe everyone and ride within your limits as well as within the reasonable limits of the law.

I might be up for it...I live in Frederick, depending if you come up far enough my way. I'm pretty much a noob and only ride a 600....this is a slow paced ride right?

    Re: Rockville ride

    Speed,

Yup this is a noob ride for all intensive purposes, I also ride a 600 btw.  I have run the route before and I typically wont go above 70 (no need to go faster as the speed limit on 28 is 55 or so).  It will be a nice chill ride and its at your pace.  Depending on where you live in Frederick, you can always shoot down 355 to Father Hurley Blvd ( so you can avoid highway, I still prefer to not ride on the highway right if at all possible) and take that to meet us over off of Middlebrook.  Last time we went as far north as Buckeystown (thats the area with the mild twisties) and I assume that were going to do the same.  Depending on where you live, figure about 70 or so miles of riding to and from...

Mang...the good roads start around Urbana/Buckeystown and head north towards PA. Plan a day and I will try to make it.

If you're down for riding into the city on weekends, shoot me a PM with your contact info and I'll be sure to include you in our plans.  We usually run Adams Morgan, downtown, Georgetown, etc to see what's jumping.  That offer is, of course, also extended to everyone else.

If I get finished with a meeting at the end of the day tomorrow in time, I may show up at the parking lot you mentioned and tag along. If 28 is crowded with drowsy work-a-day cagers, I'm bailing for more interesting roads, however.

Orange... That sounds good bro. Going north on 28 at that point is fairly open and there are places to pass slow cars. If you know of more interesting roads in that area I would love to let you run point and we follow...

OSB... long time bro....  I know my buddy Jeff is coming and hes rolling a 1000RR so you wont be the only liter bike.  Hes also an experienced rider so you will have good company.  You guys can just run out front of us as Jeff will lead the way most of the time and us slow polks will ride in the rear at our own speed.... Were going to meet in the same Safeway parking lot as before...

Hope you can make it out
