General Guidelines

This is not only harmful, but legal actions can be taken against you. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate to this forum.
Note that due to the real time nature of this forum, it is impossible to review all posts as they are made. 3 Strike warning system
As the forum becomes more and more popular we have felt the increased need to introduce a 3 stage, or 'strike', warning system to give us the flexibility to warn members on certain levels, and give members a chance to still retain there user accounts after a warning. This basically works by means of three stage system:
Stage 1 - The lowest form of warning. This can be issued as a general warning to a member due to breach of forum rules.
Stage 2 - This is the second stage waning. If a level one 1 warning has been issued and the member continues to be in breach of the rules, then user account suspension of up to 1-2 weeks will be enforced.
Stage 3 - Total Ban. Repeated abuse of level's 1 and 2 will lead to a total ban on these forums.
Signature Pictures - Size Restriction.
Due to page loading performance issues, we have decided to take the step of enforcing a policy for Signature Picture sizes.
This will take the form of a maximum picture size (in pixels), and a maximum size of:
NEW RULES ON SIG SIZES
Images: 1 image only, 600 X 150 pixel limit and file size not exceeding 25kb
Text: No more than three lines of text of any font size. For text of font size 12 and above there is a one-line limit.
Any pictures found to be breaking the sizing policy will be removed. Some examples of this include:
If you have a picture that 600 x 150 and 26k it is over the limit. It will be removed.
Another example would be a picture that is 600 x 160 and is only 3k in size, the limit for picture size in pixels has been reached and it will be removed.
Posting Guidelines
In addition to the above General guidelines a set of posting guidelines has also been created:
Please post topics in the correct forum. It takes a lot of time and effort to run this board and it will make the dcsportbikes.COM team's life a hell of a lot easier. It means better navigation of the forums for everyone, and stops the place looking cluttered.
Please try to practice general netiquette. What does this mean? Well not writing your posts or their subjects ALL IN CAPITALS. This is not only annoying, but it makes you look like you've got some kind of anger management and possibly retardation problems. Repeated abuse will earn you a level 1 warning.
A swear word filter is enabled on the forum; this will block various bad words from posts. However please do not try and get around this by using exclamation marks or numbers to represent various letters, in other words 'Cr34t1ve Sp311ing'. This also makes you look like a retard. This also includes using such text in the subject lines of posts. If it is seen it will be removed. Repeated abuse will lead to a level 2 warning being issued and a user account suspension of up to 2 weeks. You have been warned.
Please don't just register for an account and not bother to post. It will only cause the admin team more headaches come user account review.
Pointless posting to increase your post count will result in your post count being reduced. Posting whoring will not be tolerated in any form.
Repeated violation of any of the above will lead to stage 1 and 2 warnings being issued.
Private Messaging
Private messaging (or PM for short) allows users to send private messages to one another via the forum (please note you must be logged in to use this).
Avatars
With the new forum software its now possible to upload, or link to, your own Avatars. Size limit for Avatars is 100 x 100 pixels and file size limit for upload is 64k. Avatars which are seen to be abusive, vulgar, hateful, obscene, profane or sexually oriented will be removed. Repeated abuse will lead to the Avatar upload system being disabled for all users.
