Our drama-free ride on July da turd

Some familiar faces, some new ones too. We had a few seasoned vets and a few newbie boobiez. No one crashed Yes and although I believe a detour was taken by some, no one was lost Smile

To the riders who were going to meet up with us, sorry it didn't work out Wilted Flower

Thank you Rasmonis for waiting behind and leading around Fredneck

The roads were actually clean, it was amazing. My chicken strips are now more like chicken nuggets Yes

We did, however, have a close encounter of the squirrely kind...

Mr. Squirrel decided to dart in front of Rasmonis (leading) in the middle of a tight turn, and must have decided he liked the Buell better than the grass because he then darted back into the bike where he was likely bopped in the head by the rear wheel. He then proceeded to do the Texas two-step and terrorize every rider trying to corner the turn. Fortunately, no bikes were harmed in the making of this story. The squirrel, on the other hand, is probably in need of some intense PTSD therapy.

One rider was riding so fast his bike's butt fell off too. Must be an Italian thing Wink No worries though, the butt was recovered.

Lunch was fun too Yes and maybe Hawkin will post up pictures of the awesomeness

    Till next...

Had a great time.  A good group showed up.  Thanks to Shortstuff and Rasmonis for showing us those very cool roads.

Here are pictures of the day.

    Just before departing Germantown.

Meeting up at the Route 32 Park and Ride.

    Have fun devil dog.

Half way through the ride.  We stopped to catch a breath and get rehydrated.

You can take the girl outta HoCo, but...

Final stop.  Getting ready to roll for home after a good ride and some much needed food.

Lot's thumbs up, after a fun ride.

    That's all folks,

    Mike

Great ride shortstuff, you rode the shyte off that 250, good pace.

It was a last minute thing, but I'm glad I showed up, the roads were mostly clear (of slow cars and debris) so the riding was excellent.

Almost a pucker moment wit da squirrel, hope it made it back to his homies in one piece...

Posted a question in riding techniques about something I ran into on this ride.

If anyone has some time to give it a read and their advice I'd appreciate it.

Nice!  This is our debut as stars, folks.  Next comes the spotlight, the mansion(s), the girls (or guys if that's your thing), and of course, the moo-nay!!

hah, I remember when that lady interviewed us and took the pic. I was hoping she'd oversensationalize it and say we're riding across america to celebrate our independence. Are you going to save a newspaper clipping and put it in your scrapbook?

You left the ride early!  The rest of us made it cross country.  Cool
