Her speech was weak and full of dry flavorless attacks on Obama.  All she did was prove she could read a speech effectively and kiss up to McCain who just happened to be able to endure more pain than that lil dorky dude they gave a standing ovation to for getting caught and locked up with McCain..so what?!?!  That doesn't make him qualified or great..it just makes him tough (I guess), but is being a tough guy ir hard a$$ all that counts?...

the McCain-Palin ticket is so a$$ backwards, but because it's the same old song a lot of uninformed and unaware citizens are more comfortable staying right where they are...most peole are afraid of change and fight it all their lives....and that's why it kills me to see the propoganda working so well...because they do not even fully understand how they are affected by the support the offer to these folks who definitely do not have the best interest of America at heart...they don't understand how the gov't really works..how certain implemented policies and the image we develop for the US can majorly affect various aspects of your livlihood...there's a reason that Americans are the most hated people across the world...there's a reason we have gone from a surplus budget to a recession....there's a reason why most avg Americans are waking up saying..."this fawking sux" every morning...and it's NOT because the same ol song was a good one, so why keep that record playing?

if you believe that the McCain-Palin ticket is a good choice for this country and your near future going forward you are simply unaware and/or live in a self-contained world that is not representative of what our true needs as Americans are...there is no way that anyone with any plain ol' street sense, or anyone that is not "sheltered" in some way can honestly believe that these clowns are the right "choice" for America...all you had to do is look in the audience and observe the clowning, booing, and unattached blank stares of a lot of these supporters and you would understand that these are just a bunch of lost sheep looking for a herder and a good salesman, who is claiming to be a leader based on his war "experience"...

that whole display last night was a joke and I'm mad I missed theh tennis match to watch it...

i'm awfully curious to know how many folks had even heard of her before a week ago.

i still think palin's a cheap grab for the mythical "right-leaning hillary voter."

just another example of a woman being used for sex-appeal without substance...are you telling me there weren't ANY more qualified veep selections available????  nobody????  not romney? not lieberman??

or maybe they all turned mccain down.

    googs

That's all I'm saying about this selection. It's laughable at how some are spinning this into a BRILLIANT VP choice... when there were MANY other MORE QUALIFIED VP candidates... even more qualified women.

If THAT'S how McCain makes his decisions during a "time of crisis"... then I see him doing the same in other times of crisis (similar to the decisions made by the current administration that we love so much)

come to Crystal City and look at his volunteer staff. Not one ugly chick in the bunch they are all hot looking woman. I see a pattern. lol

αλήθεια some will never learn the meaning of it.

All I know is the Republicans ran this country for 8 yrs.  They fukt it up sooo badly, I don't know where we are headed.  They had their chance, let's see what the Dems can do to fix it.  What kind of foreign policy does the Dems have??  Shyt, the Republicans' foreign policy lately have been a missile falling through your roof, 200K troops busting down your door.  What was once sutle is now very apparent.  Currently, we have no foreign policy.  ...and anything is better than nothing.

I understood the Iraq plan.  Look at what countries Iraq borders: Syria, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Jordan.  Iraq is a perfect staging point to protect the Israelis and push back the Iranians.  We won't need Turkey's air bases for hangaring bombers anymore.  ...and we can get off OPEC's ti.t.

Alright, you Republicans (I was once one too) had your chance, let's give these guys a chance now.

To me Palin is just another oil family the Republicans put into a position to benefit them GREATLY if elected.

The battle between the smart-ass & author VS an ex-POW & a honeypot continues!    ...stay tuned.

I lost a lot of respect for McCain.  Nothing personal against Palin as I doubt she was banging on McCain's door for the VP spot, I just don't see why.

All I know is the Republicans ran this country for 8 yrs.

The republican party did not make this mess. Individuals made this mess.  We've all seen individuals in both parties stray from their parties core principles. Hell, John McCain lost the republican primary 8 years ago because he was a known maverick that stood by his principles rather than a party line.

I strongly urge anyone voting for the person to lead this country do so based on the individual, not the ticket they happen to be running under.  If that means you want Obama as the next President then great!  Vote for him. But vote for him if you beleive he's the best man for the job, not because he's NOT a republican. That would be as stupid as someone not voting for him simply because he's black.

Then you should look at her record a bit more carefully, and not dismiss her out of hand. Her actions while in public office indicate she is not a fan of the good'ol boy network and is not afraid to mix it up with them. Biden on the other hand has always been pretty much in lockstep with whatever the political wind within his party happened to be.

Seriously folks, regardless of who you vote for you owe it to yourselves to know who you're voting for and who you are voting against.  Think for yourself, don't let either party do your thinking for you.

the McCain-Palin ticket is so a$$ backwards, but because it's the same old song a lot of uninformed and unaware citizens are more comfortable staying right where they are...most peole are afraid of change and fight it all their lives....and that's why it kills me to see the propoganda working so well...because they do not even fully understand how they are affected by the support the offer to these folks who definitely do not have the best interest of America at heart...they don't understand how the gov't really works..how certain implemented policies and the image we develop for the US can majorly affect various aspects of your livlihood...there's a reason that Americans are the most hated people across the world...there's a reason we have gone from a surplus budget to a recession....there's a reason why most avg Americans are waking up saying..."this fawking sux" every morning...and it's NOT because the same ol song was a good one, so why keep that record playing?

if you believe that the McCain-Palin ticket is a good choice for this country and your near future going forward you are simply unaware and/or live in a self-contained world that is not representative of what our true needs as Americans are...there is no way that anyone with any plain ol' street sense, or anyone that is not "sheltered" in some way can honestly believe that these clowns are the right "choice" for America...all you had to do is look in the audience and observe the clowning, booing, and unattached blank stares of a lot of these supporters and you would understand that these are just a bunch of lost sheep looking for a herder and a good salesman, who is claiming to be a leader based on his war "experience"...

that whole display last night was a joke and I'm mad I missed theh tennis match to watch it...

    Yes

street sense???  youll act like obama went to Crossland or potomac or something...  im sure he got alot of street sense in HI...  one thing i will say about the new vp nominee, at least she seems to have problems just like the rest of americans...  obama, mccain they all have this fancy little painted picture about them like they have never have any real normal american problems....both them mofo's have lived some sheltered lives and both of them aint never lived as real americans if you ask me...

sorry, the better phrase is street smarts..but I wasn't talking about "hood" or "ghetto" smarts, but just general sensible decision making and awareness of the true reality of a situation or potential effects of a pending event and planning your reaction in a sensible and rationale manner...has nothing to do with being from HI vs DC vs TX, or whatever...it's just plain ol' rationale well-founded decision making...and trusting McCain to handle the affairs of the US is NOT a rationale decision in my opinion...a lot of people may support McCain for othe self-preserving reasons such as special interest, tax shelters, etc., which are better for you and yours, but you just simply can't tell me that it makes any real sense for the general public nor for the sake of having a forward thinking leader as the head of this country...he's out of touch and views the world with old withered blinders on...the fact that he's being called a Maverick is hilarious..there is nothing about McCain that demonstrates any characteristics of a non-conformist or rebel...LOL...disagreeing on a few topics doesn't classify one as a rebel...if that's the case...everybody's a Maverick....this is just a circus now..once the Republicans realized that the threat of Obama was real...they dropped the gloves and went with what they know...tactless babble and clear bail out strategies...I mean after I saw the commercial declaring that OBAMA was responsible for the rising gas prices...I knew it was going to be a freakin circus...oh, and could you IMAGINE if Chelsea Clinton would have been pregnant?...the republicans would have been ALL OVER THAT...but now it's not really a big deal and it's not a reflection of anything negative, and they'll "fight through it"...LOL...comedy...they would have tried to get Chelsea's baby put in a foster home or some shyt...lol...craziness...I'm sure there's more to come...I know it's so frustrating for them to not have ANYTHING REAL on Obama...haha..bastards!..now they are relying on lies and petty stuff...lol...OBAMA raised gas prices...priceless...

so tell me how is mccain out of touch and views the world with old withered blinders on??????  and tell me how obama is????  im not trying to be a smart azz or nothing would just like for you to elaborate???

uuummmm, I don't think you're being a smart a$$ by any means, but after 10 hours of work I'm too tired to really dive into this tonight..maybe tomorrow, but I think the answers to your questions are obvious really...you seem to be following them both, so clearly you know the answers to your own questions...but maybe I will entertain this tomorrow..but please understand that just because I said McCain DOESN'T do something does not mean that I'm automatically declaring that Obama DOES....feel me?..so, I'm not trying to support my argument with Obama..I just don't like McCain as our President for the aforementioned reason...war vet/hero doesn't qualify you to be the President...owning the mindset that America is winning the Iraq war and should continue to burn through money and belly-butttons to further colonize Iraq and then Iran, and so on, doesn't sit well with me..etc, etc.... and as far as I can tell and have heard him discuss, that's all he has to go on...and then he attacks Obama for no reason...lol..but again, I might do this later...

That would be as stupid as someone not voting for him simply because he's black.

    three-dollar_gas_sux:

To me Palin is just another oil family the Republicans put into a position to benefit them GREATLY if elected.

    Windblown,

You may have a point here.  All yesterday and today, I've been learning about this "hawttest Gov. in the Coolest State".  Palin was noted for calling out numerous corrupt individuals in govt.  I can see why Mccain chose her now (along with the obvious).  I guess he is trying to restore credibility in the Party perhaps.  Stay tuned......
